Bale
Bale is a Chaos Lord of the Alpha Legion, leading the Chaos Space Marine attack on Tartarus in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War.
Details
Bale is the Chaos Lord who brought the Alpha Legion to Tartarus. He was pursuing the Maledictum for himself and for the Chaos Gods. He believed he was in control; however, Sindri Myr was actually making all of the important decisions. Eventually, Sindri left Bale after convincing him to fight Gabriel Angelos by himself. When Bale was killed in his duel with Gabriel, his "sacrifice" was added to the deaths needed to obtain the Maledictum.
Bale was originally a Sergeant in the Night Lords. He was one of the first to succumb to the whispers of the Dark Gods and joined the attack on Terra. When the attack was repelled, the Night Lords lost many soldiers; Bale escaped with the Alpha Legion but never rejoined his old Legion. He served the Alpha Legion for years during which he ascended to Chaos Lord.
