Blood River is the third mission in Retribution's Tyranid campaign. It appears after Argus Settlement, and before the first mission on Aurelia.
Walkthrough
During squad selection, choose your initial units to engage mostly infantry threats. Although you are later required to destroy vehicles, anti-vehicular squads can be produced later.
The Hive Lord and escort appear at the north of the map, overlooking a background convoy. While proceeding south, you will only face infantry, which has a tendency to fall back when you first approach them. The initial groups should pose no problem to anti-infantry tactics.
You may destroy the two marked bridges. The destruction simply makes it more difficult to reach the south-west convoy destination, instead forcing them to use the one to the south-east.
When you reach the supply station to the south and clear out all guards, you have 2 minutes 30 seconds to prepare your ambush. The game recommends to place a Hive Node ahead of the supply depot, as it is one of the choke points that's likely to cause problems. Consider using the nodes to defend against the eastern-most approach.
Also, don't forget to capture the last building in the south-east corner.
The convoy approaches in waves of many ork infantry, with the ork trucks trying to move to one of the two destinations. One of the vehicles is a tank, and it will try sneaking in as well. Put priority on destroying the vehicles, as the mission will fail if three manage to slip past.
