ELITE POINTS: 3

Health: 2900 Normal

Chaplain Diomedes is a support/tank elite Space Marine unit for Dawn of War III. He is a melee infantry unit capable of withstanding considerable punishment and enhancing allies. Diomedes' critical strikes empower his allies and increase in potency the longer he remains in combat.

Abilities

Liturgies of Battle (active)
While active Diomedes' attack becomes faster, has a higher Critical rate and adds the bonuses of his Critical strikes to his normal attacks.
Zeal and Fury (passive)
As Diomedes fights he gains Fury, and with enough he gains a Charge which grants additional effects to his Critical Strikes (and to all attacks while Liturgies of Battle is active). The first Charge grants bonus melee damage while the second does a small amount of Healing in an area. He loses Fury when out of combat or disabled
Critical Strike (passive)
Grants a Critical Strike every 6 attacks, or every 3 with Liturgies of Battle. Grants Shields in a circular area plus bonus effects from his Fury charges.

Elite Doctrines

Diomedes' Presence - Rosarius (Initial Doctrine)
While Diomedes is summoned, instead of dying Elite units become temporarily Invulnerable. Has a long cooldown between uses.
Diomedes' Command - Final Slam (Unlockable Doctrine)
While Diomedes is summoned, instead of dying the Dreadnaught activates Slam and heals just enough to avoid death. Only happens once per Dreadnaught. At level 8 unlocks as a full Doctrine.

General Notes

Though not as strong of a melee fighter as Gabriel Angelos, Diomedes can still hold his own and his boosts to nearby allies are quite beneficial.
