The Tyrant Guard (Tyranicus scutatus in High Gothic) is a heavy Tyranid creature effective in close combat and resembling a small walker vehicle. They are bred to protect Hive Tyrants as living shields. The Tyrant Guards are rumoured to have DNA and anatomy suggesting use of Space Marine genetic material.
