Noise Marines disorient their enemies with sonic weapons. The sonic blaster prevents units from firing at range. Can upgrade to the Blastmaster which acts as artillery and is effective versus all armor types. | Data version: 2.0 |
Noise Marines are a Chaos Space Marines dedicated to Slaanesh and armed with sonic weaponry, "instruments" which can destroy internal organs or reduce buildings to rubble. They have the unique ability to disable other enemy units from firing their weapons when hit by their Sonic blaster.
Changes from retail DowII:Retribution
- Health decreased from 350 to 333
- Rotation rate increased from 300 to 600
- Population cost decreased from 5 to 4
- Squad now equips one Sonic blaster and two Bolters
- Sonic blaster damage increased from 5 to 15
- Sonic blaster range decreased from 27 to 26
- Sonic blaster cooldown increased from 0 to 0.3
- Flamer type unit with short range; good against blobs of infantry, garrisons and destroying generators
- Enemies hit by the Sonic blaster cannot fire their weapons, very effective at countering ranged blobs when they get a chance
- Have the Cacophony ability for defense against melee, sending out blasts of noise to knock nearby infantry (friend or foe) to the ground with each pulse. While Cacophony is active the unit will do nothing else.
- Can replace their Sonic blaster for a Blastmaster in Tier 2
- The Blastmaster changes the squad to an artillery unit much like the Devastator Plasma Cannon Squad. They now have a set-up time and an arc of fire but do knockback and good damage to all targets (friend or foe!).
