Plague Marines are slow, bloated servants of Nurgle – Chaos Space Marines corrupted by disease. In gameplay terms, they serve as durable infantry that moves slowly but is very difficult to force off the field. They take large amounts of damage before exploding in showers of gore, which heal nearby allies and damage enemies.
Changes from retail DowII:Retribution
- Speed decreased from 4.5 to 4
- Passive slow aura effect decreased from 30% to 20%
- Missile launcher snare effect increased from 25% to 40%
- Death explosion healing effect no longer affects Plague Marines
- Death explosion damage decreased from 80 to 50
- Cost adjusted from 500/40 to 450/50
- Very durable Anti-vehicle unit
- High health and exceptional health regeneration
- Damage output is rather low, but bolters deal DoT (damage over time) and missile launcher slows vehicles
- Very slow, but aura also slows nearby enemies
- Fire like normal when suppressed
- Explode on death, damaging enemies and healing allies
