Apothecary Gordian served the Strike Cruiser Armageddon as its field surgeon and biologist, healing wounded Chapter-brothers as well as studying Tyranid DNA samples. During the time of the Tyranid invasion, it was Gordian who saved the mortally wounded Davian Thule after an attack by a Tyranid Warrior. Due to the severity of his wounds, however, Thule was confined to a Dreadnought. At the time of climatic battle of the Tyranids, Gordian stayed aboard the Armageddon to provide support. This, however, proved to be his undoing. The Armageddon was completely destroyed, Gordian along with it. In his final moments, he managed to launch the drop pods containing the Commander's unassigned squads.
