The Manticore is an Imperial Guard artillery vehicle. It is extremely slow and fragile, but has a longer range than other artillery units and requires no direct line of sight to fire.

• The only artillery unit with indirect fire; can generally fire over any obstacle, but sometimes a missile may get blocked by very high terrain on some maps
• Missile barrages launched manually through an ability
• Uses the new multi-targeting system, allowing the player to place all four missiles individually
• Barrages are powerful, but have a delay and a warning marker

Trivia

• A manticore is a mythical beast with a tail that shoots poisonous spikes.
• The Manticore's firing noises strongly resemble that of the Nebelwerfer 42's.
