Ogryns are tough ogre-like brutes who excel in close combat and are excellent at disrupting enemy ranged units. Can be upgraded with a Bone 'ead. | Data version: 3.19 |
The Ogryn Squad is an Imperial Guard infantry squad composed of abhuman Ogryns, massive brutes who can absorb great amounts of damage. Ogryns are the Imperial Guard's substitute for a tier 2 walker vehicle, so they are much more robust than most other close-combat infantry.
- Super-heavy infantry, resilient to small-arms fire, take extra damage from plasma weapons and power melee weapons
- Deal heavy melee damage, effective against all target types
- Ripper guns retain full accuracy while moving, allowing Ogryns to kill models that kite or retreat
