The Ravener Tunnels are support structures built by the Ravener Alpha hero. They give the Tyranids a very high degree of mobility, allowing near instant transportation between any two tunnels placed on the map. The tunnel entrances are fragile, however, and can easily be destroyed by an attentive enemy. Units that crush cover will destroy a tunnel by walking over it.
Placing tunnels in areas that are seldom explored is a good idea to increase their longevity. Be careful of placing them to close to cover or structures, however – if you are unlucky, a unit exiting the tunnel may get stuck in the terrain, effectively taking it out of the game.
