Black Legion
The Black Legion, earlier known as Sons of Horus and Luna Wolves, is one of the Traitor Legions of the Chaos Space Marines. Before the Horus Heresy, it was the 16th Legion. Their Primarch was, of course, Horus himself.
The Chaos Space Marines featured in Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising and Dawn of War II: Retribution are of the Black Legion.
Characteristics
The Black Legion is the core force of most of the Black Crusades and is also the main practicer of Chaos Undivided: they worship the four dread Gods of Chaos as a pantheon; this helps smoothen out some of the infighting and makes them slightly more versatile.
History
Originally the Luna Wolves, upon Horus becoming weakened, then subsequently brought back from death by a mysterious sentient weapon, their name was changed to The Sons of Horus, marking the start of the Heresy.
Organization
While mostly warbands led by a captain, their current leader, after the fall of their Primarch Horus, is Abaddon the Despoiler.
