Details

Inquisitor Mordecai Toth is a member of the Ordo Malleus, having been sent on assignment with some knowledge of Tartarus's dark past and a powerful daemonic artifact sleeping there. Toth's mere presence indicates something dark is afoot on Tartarus, and none dare cross Toth directly. Toth, upon landing, immediately suspects Gabriel Angelos of being tainted by Chaos, citing that Gabriel willingly put his own world to the torch. Toth realizes later, to his horror, that it was in fact Isador Akios, not Angelos, who had contracted the taint of Chaos. When the truth is known, Toth apologizes and, to steel Gabriel against the battles ahead, bestows upon Gabriel his holy Daemonhammer, God-Splitter. This weapon of the Inquisition is imbued with the power to crush Sindri Myr, the sorcerer-turned-Daemon Prince, and all others who would associate with Chaos.

Toth is also seen during the Space Marine ending of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, questioning Captain Davian Thule, accompanied by a 1st Company veteran and numerous squads of Space Marines.
