Chaos Space Marines are former Tactical Squads that have abandoned their loyalties to the Imperium of Man and now dedicate themselves to the pursuits of the dark gods of Chaos. Like other space marines they are heavily armoured infantry, quite slow but powerful.
Changes from retail DowII:Retribution
- Upgrading to Mark of Khorne now changes the squad’s appearance
- Upgrading to Mark of Tzeentch now changes the squad’s appearance
- Aspiring Champion equips a new bolt pistol, damage increased from 7 to 22
- Aspiring Champion cost increased from 80/15 to 80/25
- Eternal War cost decreased from 75/20 to 60/15
- Mark of Khorne cost incerased from 75/20 to 90/30
- Mark of Khorne health bonus increased from 10% to 15%
- Decent in melee for a ranged unit, can hold their own against other ranged units
- No activated abilities, only passives

Termagant Brood | Fragile ranged unit that can overwhelm melee enemies en masse. Can be upgraded with Toxin Sacs to improve effectiveness and gain a ranged infantry snare. |

Warrior Brood | Melee unit that projects Basic Synapse, enhancing nearby Tyranid units. Can be upgraded for increased melee capabilities or ranged suppression and AoE damage. Detects infiltrated units. |
Wraithguard | Slow-moving, short-range heavy infantry, they move more quickly with a Warlock nearby but are stunned if the Warlock dies. |

Howling Banshees | Highly agile melee infantry. Upgrades grant additional speed, the War Shout ability, and other enhancements. |
Stormboyz | Assault troops equipped with jump packs. Good at closing quickly and forcing ranged units into melee combat. Can be upgraded with a squad leader and better jump packs. |
Genestealer Brood | A high-damage melee unit effective against infantry that infiltrates when standing still. Can be upgraded with to be effective against all targets. |
