The Eres Badlands is a province on Kronus and one of the locations in Dark Crusade.

Description

The harshest area of the central desert band, the Badlands’ rocky dry terrain has claimed many unwary travelers. Unholy relics and foul ruins dot the Badlands, supposedly remnants of the battles of the Horus Heresy.

A natural depression on the eastern edge of the central desert, the Badlands have no known source of water. Only the occasional dust devil interrupts the pounding of the sun on this barren deathtrap.

Bonus

  • +50 Planetary Requisition
  • Fury
    • The controlling faction may launch two attacks instead of one when it is their turn, this also means you can launch one additional attack right after having claimed control of the Eres Badlands.
    • While not stated in the bonus description, one is also able to move up to two spaces instead of one.

Start gathering troops for your army to the 70-kill goal. Always have offense and defense. For defense, have Turrets (XV88 Broadside Battlesuits for Tau) and 2-3 squads of Infantry. For offense, get about 4-5 squads of Infantry and your hero, and 1 or 2 vehicles. If a squad's morale breaks in the battle, make them fall back or you'll start to lose troops and Khorne will start to lean to the opposition. If you start losing troops, do not despair (Unless you lose 70). Just fall back and gather more troops. If the opposition follows you, the defense you made would have been able to kill most of the opposition before retreating. Make a bigger fighting force every time 5–8 minutes go by adding a squad or two.
